Description: Introduction to Korean. Note: Designed for beginners and not open to students with previous knowledge of Korean.

KOREA240 Korean Literature and the Arts Course Page

Description: A survey of pre-modern and modern literature and art forms in Korea. Taught in English. Note: Does not fulfill any Faculty of Arts requirement for a Language other than English.

Description: Intermediate communication in modern Korean, integrating speaking, listening, reading and writing. Prerequisite: KOREA 202 or consent of Department.

KOREA325 Introduction to Korean Linguistics Course Page

Description: Sound system, parts of speech, basic sentence structure, writing system, and language change and variation. Taught in English. This course will not fulfill the Language Other than English requirement of the BA degree. Prerequisite: LING 101 and KOREA 202, or consent of the Department.

KOREA401 Advanced Korean I Course Page

Description: Studies in Korean language, culture and customs through readings and activities. Emphasis on sound patterns, grammatical structure, communication, comprehension, and composition. Prerequisite: KOREA 302 or equivalent.

KOREA402 Advanced Korean II Course Page

Description: A continuation of KOREA 401. Prerequisite: KOREA 401 or equivalent.
