PERLS564 - Managing Recreation, Sport, and Physical Activity Programs in Indigenous Communities

This course will examine the policies, politics, perceptions and practices related to managing recreation, sport and physical activity programs that occur in or engage indigenous communities. While a global context will be considered, the experience of Indigenous people in Canada will be central to this course. Attention will be given to applying different community and policy development theories to current issues and trends. Sections offered in a Cost Recovery format at an increased rate of fee assessment; refer to the Fees Payment Guide in the University Regulations and Information for Students.
