EAS205 - Environment Earth

General introduction to interactions between people and their natural environment, with an emphasis on geological processes. Topics include: soil resources and degradation; earthquakes and volcanoes; streams and flooding; landslides, mass movement and subsidence, shoreline development and coastal processes; surface water and groundwater resources; air and water pollution; waste management and disposal; and global change. Prerequisite: Any 100-level Science course. [Faculty of Science]
