AUSOC377 - Contemporary Theories of Gender

Examination of gender from the perspective of contemporary theories (in particular, feminist theories). The liberal, socialist, radical, and post-structuralist feminist perspectives on gender are addressed. As well, the course looks at gender from ethnomethodological and hermeneutic perspectives. Prerequisite: One of AUSOC 232, 233, 275, any course listed in the Women's Studies program.
