AUPED387 - Arctic Expedition Planning

Study of the many factors involved in extended Arctic canoe expeditions. The course uses an interdisciplinary approach to explore the biological, geographical, historical, and sociological aspects of the Canadian North. Students will plan and prepare for an extended Arctic canoe expedition. Prerequisites: One of AUPED 284 or 286, or one of AUPED 184 or 283 and AUPAC 191 (Introduction to Moving Water Canoeing); *3 in Geography and consent of the instructor. Notes: This course is intended to be taken in sequence with AUGEO 343 or AUPED 388. Credit may be obtained for only one of AUGEO 341, 342 and AUPED 387.
