AUENV345 - Religion and Ecology

Examination of the relationship between ecology and religion from Christian and non-Christian perspectives. The course looks at ecological spirituality, ecotheology, animal rights, deep ecology, ecoactivism, and ecofeminism. It also devotes substantial time to ecological themes in Asian (Hindu, Buddhist, and Chinese) and traditional (native American and Australian aboriginal) religions. Note: Credit may be obtained for only one of AUENV 345 and AUREL 345.
