AUENG311 - The History of the English Language

Introduction to the historical development of the English language from its Indo-European roots to its present-day forms, including Canadian English. Prerequisites: Two of AUENG 102, 103, or 104, and *6 in English at the 200-level [excluding AUENG 204, 215, 291]. Formerly part of AUENG 213. Note: Not to be taken by students with credit in AUENG 211, 213 or 313.
